Blue Ribbon Awards for Patient Satisfaction Announced

Blue Ribbon Awards for 2021 were recently announced at Weeks Medical Center. The awards are given in recognition of staff and departments for providing exceptional patient satisfaction. The awards are determined from actual patient feedback of their experiences at Weeks.

Feedback represents the period October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021. During this period Weeks received 251 patient satisfaction comments. Comments were spread over six departmental areas and one staff member from each area who received the most positive comments received the Blue Ribbon Award.

This year’s Blue Ribbon Award recipients are:

Kayla Wenckus, Ambulatory Services

  • “Thank you, Kayla, for answering my questions and making me feel relaxed.  You guys are great.”
  • “Kayla especially was very attentive, caring, gracious and offered good advice to aid recovery.  Please let her know!”
  • “Amazing to work with and very pleasant and understanding and sympathetic to my nerves.  Thank you!”
  • “Kayla did an excellent job w/the IV insertion – no pain at all! “

Dr. Mederic Leblanc, Emergency Services

  • “Dr. LeBlanc was awesome.  I don’t know how he handled how busy it was and still made me feel like I was his only patient, and he found the problem and helped it.”
  • “Dr. LeBlanc seemed to really care and explained everything and checked on me frequently.”
  • “Dr. Leblanc was amazing as always!”
  • “Very happy with Dr. Leblanc; answered all of my many questions.”

Nadine Gilcris, Outpatient Services

  • “PT sessions with Nadine were the right length, goals were clearly stated at first one.  I was never “rushed” too hard and felt good about my accomplishments.”

Anita Newell, Oncology

Dr. Elizabeth Cooley, Medical Practices

Peter Nolette, Inpatient Services
