Lancaster Clinic Construction Update November 8, 2019

The final stages of the building project for the Lancaster Clinic are in progress. Today the biomass boilers are supplying heat to the Lancaster Clinic. Dan Hebert Inc. crews have been hustling to complete the hydronic piping to provide heat before cold weather. Just in the nick of time, winter has arrived. Farrar Controls is in setting up the VFD pump drives to enable the Trane building automation system to operate them as efficiently as possible.

The Floor Works has installed floor covering all three levels. All that is left to be completed are the stairways and the connector corridor. Hicks Painting continues to paint on all three floors. Many of the rooms have the final coat applied. The color scheme of the building looks very attractive.

McKenzie Carpentry has installed most of the countertops and millwork on all three floors. They continue to install millwork in the check-in and waiting areas. Northwoods Manufacturing provided the countertops and cabinets in the building. Can’t wait until the glazing is installed in the areas. This will finalize an attractive package.

The ceilings are complete as well as the lighting, paging speakers, and access control system. The sprinkler and fire alarm systems are active. Both elevators are in place and adjustments completed. On November 15, 2019, the New Hampshire State Elevator Inspector will inspect the elevators. This will require us to swap over to the E-Generator to confirm all controls are in place and operational.

CMS will be on site November 15, 2019 to complete a life safety inspection of the building. CMS will be back to inspect the operation of the Lancaster Clinic once it is fully operational later next year.

Northern Gardens has been busy installing planting around the building. The owner, Jamie Davis, designed the landscaping and selected the plantings. He’s made some good choices. AB Excavation has the majority of site work completed. AB and Central Paving have built a massive parking lot for us. We should have plenty of parking for both patients and staff. We’re on target for moving into the new building in early December.

And don’t forget: There’s still time to make a donation to the building campaign.
