A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Wednesday, September 19, for the new Lancaster Patient Care Center, which will be built adjacent to the current Weeks Medical Center. The new 42,000 square-foot, three-story center will be built by Daniel Hebert General Contractors of Colebrook. The event began with a lunch served in the Weeks Medical Center boardroom. Letters of support were read from senators Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassen, House of Representatives member Annie Kuster, and State of New Hampshire executive counselor Joseph Kenney. The lunch was followed by a ceremonial first dig in the outside construction area.
