Construction Update on the Lancaster Patient Care Center at Weeks Medical Center August 22, 2019

The majority of all rough grading is now complete outside the building. The retaining walls are complete and the entry has been roughed in. The site work is approximately 75% complete at the time of the inspection with active work currently underway. It is anticipated that the site work should be substantially complete within the next 30 days.

As to the building itself, the installation of the siding is complete. Minor roof work remains. All of the glass is in place except in areas that are utilized for material access.

The ground floor has been drywalled and the ceiling grids are installed. All sprinklers are in place. The painting of the walls is substantially complete. The installation of the millwork is in process.  The electrician has started the finished electrical work.

On the main floor the sprinklers are in place. The painting of the walls is substantially complete. The installation of the millwork is in process. The finish electrical work was in process and some of flooring has been installed. This floor is the most advanced.

The upper floor is behind schedule. Drywall is still in the process of being hung. Portions of the drywall have been finished and painted and rough mechanical and electrical are in place. This floor is the least advanced.

The connector walkway has been primed and painted.

Overall, work on the Lancaster Patient Care Center is well organized and is proceeding smoothly, although slowly. The project is maintained and clean with stored materials organized. The workmanship observed is excellent. The building is still on target for a December 2019 opening.
