North Country Healthcare Named as One of Best Places to Work in Healthcare
North Country Healthcare (NCH) has been recognized as one of the best places to work in healthcare by Modern Healthcare magazine, the industry’s leading source of healthcare business and policy news, research, and information. North Country Healthcare is the only healthcare system in New England to be recognized with this noteworthy honor.
North Country Healthcare is comprised of three critical access hospitals (Androscoggin Valley Hospital, Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, and Weeks Medical Center) and North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency.
North Country Healthcare was selected following a comprehensive review of employee demographics, pay and benefits, work-life balance and wellness initiatives, training and career development, corporate culture and communications, and analysis of questionnaires completed by employees.
“This recognition is only possible because of the dedicated, hardworking, and patient-focused providers, nurses, and staff of NCH,” said Tom Mee, CEO of North Country Healthcare “Our team members are constantly focused on our mission of ensuring consistent, high-quality, accessible, and integrated healthcare across the communities we serve. Events of the past year, including COVID-19, have been challenging for healthcare nationally. NCH has been no exception. Yet I could not be more proud of how our team has cared for our patients and one another.”
