Nurses Earn Advanced Certification at Weeks Medical Center
Certification expands services in Emergency and Patient Care
Lancaster, NH: Weeks Medical Center announced that registered nurses Kathie Leclerc and Beth Rancloes have each earned advanced nursing certifications.
Kathie Leclerc, a nurse case manager at Weeks since November 2013, recently passed her case management certification exam given in Washington, DC. As a certified case manager (CCM), Leclerc now works collaboratively to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the options and services required to meet a patient’s health and human service needs. Case management is characterized by advocacy, communication, and resource management and promotes quality and cost-effective interventions and outcomes. The certification signifies that Leclerc has the proven experience in all areas of patient care planning and coordination.
Beth Rancloes, an emergency room nurse at Weeks since September 2010, was recently recognized by the Emergency Nurses Association with its certified emergency nurse (CEN) certification. The CEN certification signifies that Rancloes passed an advanced examination and has attained a defined body of specialty knowledge in emergency nursing. The certification is not common. Currently, only about 30,000 nurses worldwide have earned CEN certification. Rancloes joins three other nurses at Weeks holding the certification.
“We are very pleased to celebrate the achievements of Kathie Leclerc and Beth Rancloes,” said Scott Howe, CEO at Weeks Medical Center. “Their new certifications and experience allow us to provide enhanced services and higher quality care to our community. We thank Kathie and Beth for seeking out advanced skills and for their dedicated service to the hospital.”
