Lancaster Patient Care Center Construction Update February 19, 2019
Wall’s Unlimited has made good progress in sheathing the exterior walls with three-inch insulation board last week. We expect to have the exterior wall studs all in place and covered with insulation board this week. Then everything moves inside to begin the framing of the interior walls.
RG Gosselin is pouring a section of the second floor. It is above zero outside, which is the cutoff temperature to pour. LP heaters have been operating regularly to warm the decking from below. If the weather is corporative, the second floor and part of the ground floor will be completed this week.
DG Roofing started to install a new TPO roofing membrane over six inches of insulation board. Temporary roof drains have been installed and will be completed once the roofing is completed. Some high winds forced us to postpone some roof work.
The biomass plant was shut down last week for DHI to connect the new heating lines for the new center. Wilco Direct welded the new four-inch piping and fittings. Maintenance took advantage of the outage to clean the ESP and large biomass boiler.
Most of the site work that can be done during the winter months has been completed. This spring the final cleanup work will commence.
