Weeks Medical Center’s Emergency Department works closely with community resources and emergency medical services (EMS) to provide patients with expert 24-hour, seven-day-a-week services.

With an average of 6,800 visits per year, Weeks Emergency Department is one of the busiest departments in the hospital. The Emergency Department staff includes 5 board-certified emergency physicians, emergency medicine specialty nurses, and internal paramedics. The Weeks Medical Center Emergency Department provides high-quality care with a small-town feel.

The majority of emergency medical issues can be treated at WMC. For those patients who need to be referred to a specialty hospital, Weeks has developed an extensive network of working relationships with many specialty hospitals throughout New England.
