Weeks Medical Center’s Davalyn Kinkead Receives 2026 Marguerite “Maggie” Gagne Award

Lancaster, NH – May 29, 2026 – Weeks Medical Center (WMC) is pleased to announce that Davalyn Kinkead of Lancaster is the 2026 recipient of the Marguerite “Maggie” Gagne Award.

Davalyn Kinkead, a Patient Access Associate at WMC, received multiple nominations from her colleagues describing the meaningful impact she has on coworkers, patients, and families. Nominators spoke warmly of Davalyn’s willingness to help others, her way of making others feel appreciated and supported, and her thoughtful acts that help to brighten the day, from remembering birthdays and checking in on coworkers, to helping families feel more comfortable. With her ready smile and words of encouragement, Davalyn exemplifies the spirit of the Maggie Award.

The Maggie Award was created after Maggie’s passing in 2022 to recognize staff at WMC who embody the kindness, generosity, positivity, and compassion that Maggie demonstrated every day. Maggie exuded warmth and compassion, always greeting people as an old friend even if they had only just met. She was quick to help solve any problem brought to her, whether on her own or by finding the right person who could help. A life-long North Country resident, Maggie began her nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Country Village Center in Lancaster, obtaining her nursing degree in 1986 from the NH Vocational Technical College. She began working at WMC in 1998 as a staff nurse and rose through the ranks; in 2010 Maggie was promoted to Clinical Application Analyst. Maggie served as the Chairperson of the Nursing Practice Council at WMC for 20 years. Now, in Maggie’s honor, the Council reviews staff nominations and determines the recipient of the Maggie Award each year.
