John Ford and Marc Gautier Named Among Top Doctors in New Hampshire
Weeks Medical Center is pleased to announce that John Ford, MD, and Marc Gautier, MD, have been (once again) named among top doctors in the state of New Hampshire. Dr. Ford was recognized as one of the best primary care/family medicine doctors. Dr. Gautier was recognized as one of the best hematology/oncology/cancer care doctors. The annual survey of top doctors is published by New Hampshire magazine.
In its annual survey, New Hampshire magazine works with national medical research firm Castle Connolly Medical to determine the best doctors in the state. Castle Connolly surveys physicians, hospital staff, and healthcare executives to determine the doctors considered outstanding in their medical specialties. Doctors cannot nominate themselves for recognition. Dr. Ford has received this award five years in a row. Dr. Gautier has been recognized eight years in a row.
Dr. Ford is a primary care/family medicine provider at the Weeks Medical Center Whitefield Clinic. Dr. Ford received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and served his residency at Washington Hospital in Washington, PA. He joined Weeks Medical Center in 1999. In addition to his family medicine duties, Dr. Ford attends to his patients who have been admitted to the hospital, assists in the Weeks Emergency Department, and also provides prenatal care and baby delivery at Littleton Regional Healthcare.
Dr. Gautier is a hematologist/oncologist at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster. Dr. Gautier received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School and served his residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. Dr. Gautier specialize in the treatment of blood diseases and geriatric oncology and also works with patients at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and New London Hospital.
This year’s top doctors were selected by a physician-led research team that carefully reviewed the credentials of every physician being considered. The review included scrutiny of medical education, training, board certifications, hospital appointments, administrative posts, professional achievements, malpractice, and disciplinary history.
