New Oncologist brings 40 years of experience to the North Country.

Lancaster, NH: Weeks Medical Center announced that Frederick C. Tucker, Jr., MD, has joined the hospital as a new oncologist.

Tucker received his medical degree from Ohio State University. He completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in internal medicine and psychiatry at Ohio State University Hospitals. For the past 25 years, Tucker has specialized in oncology treatment and care.

“We are fortunate to have the Dr. Frederick Tucker join the Weeks community,” says Scott Howe, CEO of Weeks Medical Center. “His skill and experience in medical oncology is extensive and will allow us to enhance our care and better serve North Country residents. We welcome him to our staff.”

Tucker has worked in medical oncology in private practice in Fredericksburg, Virginia, at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, Massachusetts. From 2007 to 2014 he was affiliated with the National Cancer Institute’s Community Clinical Oncology Program, participating in numerous clinical trials. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.

Tucker also has served as a supervisor and instructor for medical students in internal medicine, oncology, and psychiatry at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. He also recently served as the president of the Fredericksburg Area Medical Society.
